2006-06-21 12:21:22 GMT Opera 9

Opera 9 was released yesterday, so I recommend you go and give it a try! While this obviously has something to do with my presently being employed by Opera, version 9 is a pretty major step up from 8.5. So I really do suggest trying it out!

How come it doesn't render that linked SVG icon?

How much of the WF2(WHATWG) spec does it implement? Are there some demos?

I noticed it didn't work in writely.com. Anyway I am impressed by this installment.

It does render that SVG icon.....

I don't know how much of web forms 2.0 is implemented.

Oh yes. So it does render the SVG icon. And it zooms/scales well too.

I noticed different renderings of the same SVG. In Opera scaling is better IMO. With Firefox it only scales the text.

I don't like that "Amazon" and "Price comparison" thing in Opera. Can I turn it off?

I want to customize the search of that far right search input. I want wikipedia and debian links. When I click customize, it show me some skins. Argh... skins.

Opera9 bookmarks could be removed altogether in favour of something like del.icio.us.

Form spell check is weak compared to Google's firefox extension.

Gchat doesn't work in Gmail. :(

When I click about it should open a new form. I accidentally lost a previous comment post!

It is runs *much faster* than Firefox. Which is nice.

I feel that after so many comments this medium is not the best place to conduct a discussion of the nature that this was leading to so I simply stopped. I was planning to e-mail you but I never got around to it.
